The North Railway Line Wuppertal

The 23-kilometre-long Nordbahntrasse cycle and hiking trail is part of the Route of Industrial Heritage and leads through five historic viaducts, seven illuminated tunnels and numerous bridges. In addition to highlights such as the trolley line at Loh station, there are numerous rest stops along the Nordbahntrasse.

The Müngsten Bridge is not only a technical masterpiece and an impressive landmark in the Bergisches Land region, but at 107 meters it is also the highest railroad bridge in Germany. It spans the Wupper valley on two tracks and connects Remscheid and Solingen.

The area around the Müngsten Bridge is now a popular destination for hikers and cyclists - idyllic walking and hiking trails, picnic facilities and fascinating views of the railroad bridge. Those who like a bit more adrenaline can venture onto the Müngsten Bridge via ferrata on a guided climping tour and enjoy spectacular views.
